Alliance Airlines Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance facility is currently looking for a Utility All Rounder (Cleaner) & Facility Maintainer to join our growing team. We’re on the hunt for a Facility Maintainer & Utility All Rounder (Cleaner) who has experience working in a Commercial premise, is detail oriented and holds high integrity for themselves and their work. You will join us on a Full-Time basis operating across our 3 sites in Rockhampton. Our Facility Maintainer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our facilities. This role includes performing a variety of tasks related to maintenance, repair, and improvement of physical structures, equipment, and systems. We are looking for someone with the following experience: Inspecting Equipment and Facilities: Regularly checking systems, equipment, and structures to identify any issues or potential problems. Repairing and Troubleshooting: (not an exhaustive list) Electrical Repairs: Identifying electrical issues such and sourcing licensed tradesperson. Plumbing Repairs: Repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and addressing issues with toilets, sinks, and showers. HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Repairs: maintenance and cleaning of vents and scheduling of repair/maintenance on all systems. Appliance Repairs: Maintaining/ minor repairs (if required) to appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers. Test and Tagging scheduling, cleaning out fridges, changing of water filters as required. Carpentry and Structural Repairs: Repairing doors, windows, walls, floors, and other structural elements of all buildings/facilities. Painting and Finishing Repairs: Touching up paint, repairing drywall, and addressing any cosmetic issues to maintain the appearance of buildings. Exterior Repairs: Maintaining and repairing exterior elements such as fences, gates, sidewalks, and parking lots. Performing Preventive Maintenance: Conducting scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and prolong the life of equipment and facilities. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, painting, hanging and repairing furniture as needed. Report any major maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly to management. Responding to Maintenance Requests: Addressing urgent maintenance issues reported by staff or residents promptly and effectively. Maintaining & keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair work done, including parts used, costs incurred, and maintenance schedules. Cleaning, Sanitising and Supply Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies. Maintain inventory records and communicate supply needs to the supervisor. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and standards at all times. Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other staff members and departments to ensure efficient operations. Support special cleaning and maintenance projects as assigned. Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or a related field is preferred. Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Must be able to lift up to 15kg + unassisted & availability to work flexible hours, as required. Ability to pass background checks or medical screenings as required by the employer. About Alliance Airlines Our Alliance Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance facility is a $60M brand new, 3 bay Base Maintenance facility located at Rockhampton airport. The facility has been established to provide Base Maintenance services to Alliance Airlines fleet of E190 and F70/100 aircraft. Located in Central Queensland, Rockhampton offers all your cosmopolitan conveniences in a contemporary riverside setting and is 35 minutes from the beaches of Yeppoon. Alliance is unique in that it owns its whole fleet. Currently that fleet consists of 37 Fokker 70/100 aircraft, 31 Embraer E190 aircraft with firm purchase commitments stretching to mid-2026 for a further 26 E190 aircraft. The Company dry leases 3 E190 aircraft to a third party with those leases having just been extended for a further five years.
