Come and join the Alliance Airlines team as the Strategic Procurement Manager where you will play a pivotal role ensuring the strategic procurement, logistics and supply chain functions continue to exceed in our growing organisation.About the RoleWe are searching for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to drive on time performance outcomes while meeting and exceeding required financial and production outcomes. The role will have a continuous improvement focus, while ensuring the management of the current strategic procurement in support of all maintenance activities across the network and the entire fleet.Reporting to the Head of Inventory, Procurement and Sales, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Providing accurate and timely assessments of proposals involving financial expenditure and the financial status of operational projectsEvaluate and recommend strategies for freight and shippingProviding thorough and complete knowledge of engineering costs and revenue opportunitiesProviding financial reporting inclusive of engineering budgets, commentary on variances, monthly rolling engineering forecasts and reportsTo be successful you will meet the following requirements:  Tertiary qualifications in either Finance, Business, Aviation or CommerceExtensive commercial knowledge and experience relating to the provision and supply of complex capital intensive and operationally critical services, preferably in an airline or airline maintenance environmentExtensive financial knowledge and experience relating to the provision and supply of complex capital intensive and operationally critical services, preferably in an airline or airline maintenance environmentExtensive cost control knowledge and experience relating to the provision and supply of complex capital intensive and operationally critical services, preferably in an airline or airline maintenance environmentExcellent written and oral communicationDemonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team focussed environmentStrong analytical and reasoning skillsExtensive experience dealing with Manufacturers, Sub-Contractors, suppliers, and vendors in relation to the supply or procurement of goods and services Alliance AirlinesAlliance is Australasia’s leading provider of contract, charter and allied aviation and maintenance services currently employing more than 1,400 staff.Alliance has world leading operational performance, a key attribute sought by its customers.
