We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores, Facility and Equipment  Officer to join our team in Darwin.The PositionThis position is responsible for the Stores and Logistics functions to support the Engineering department as well as the demands from Part Sales and the Supply Chain network. You will help to seek and implement Logistics and Warehouse best practices to enhance safety, operational efficiency and cost control. The Stores Officer is responsible for but not limited to:Assist with the coordination of all functions of the Store environmentSupport the Supply Chain network and identify improvements to related systems and procedures.Maintain and manage inventory in the local Store and associated network.Stock ordering and transfersAssist in local procurement activitiesAid in both the management and processing of Rotable repairsIdentify and implement improved practices and processes where requiredDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, freight companies and their representativesPerform higher duties when requested & provide shift and location flexibility to meet critical business requirementsComply with safety and security laws and other relevant regulatory requirementsTo Be SuccessfulIdeally, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar position and possess the following:Experience in the aviation industry (highly desirable)Previous Stores Experience (highly desirable)Secondary EducationForklift licenceCurrent Dangerous Goods certificateExperience with Computer Based Inventory SystemsAttention to detailA strong work ethic and willingness to learnAptitude for handling technical data in a stores environmentDemonstrate understanding of methods of packing and shipping goodsHigh level communication skillsThe ability to work and think for yourself in a small team, and as an individual with without the need for constant supervisionBe available to work additional hours should the need ariseAbout Our BusinessAlliance Airlines is an ASX listed company and is Australasia’s leading provider of contract, charter and  allied  aviation and maintenance services currently employing in excess of 800 full time staff.
