Alliance Airlines is currently recruiting a Safety Advisor to join our Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) team.  If you have a keen eye for detail, expertise in WH&S, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, we invite you to be part of our growing team.About the RoleAs the Safety Advisor you will be instrumental in supporting the Approved Maintenance Organisation in maintaining our compliance to the Safety Management System, ensuring our operations conform to the highest standards set by the regulations. Reporting directly to the AMO Safety Manager, you will provide WH&S subject matter expert advice for our Engineering team facilitating risk assessments, coordinating safety reports, and driving the continuous improvement of safety processes.The Safety Advisor is responsible for, but not limited to:Facilitate development and review of risk assessments of AMO processes and activities to identify hazards, quantify risk and establish controls.Assist with the monitoring, review and validation of all AMO Safety reports and ensure appropriate corrective actions are allocated and completed.Provide SME input and support to safety investigations.Assist in the analysis of safety data to determine trends and compile monthly Safety Action Group (SAG) presentations.Assist the AMO Safety Manager to provide advice to other Departments as required to develop internal policy, process and procedures.Assist with developing forms, work instructions and other process related documentation consistent with the operational requirements.Qualifications & ExperienceTertiary qualification in WH&STertiary qualification in Environmental Protection (desirable)Hold an Aviation Lead Auditor certificate (desirable)Experience in matters relating to Workplace Health and Safety, and Environmental Regulations (desirable)Experience with the application of the Civil Aviation regulations within an aviation environment (desirable)Demonstrated auditing experience (desirable)Skills & KnowledgeKnowledge in the Australian regulatory environment of WH&S and Environmental requirementsKnowledge of an operational airline environment and in particular Safety Management Systems (desirable)High standard of ability in use of computerized safety management systemsExcellent written and oral communicationStrong analytical and reasoning skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracy of workWell-developed computing skills, particularly MS OfficeAlliance AirlinesAlliance is Australasia’s leading provider of contract, charter and allied aviation and maintenance services currently employing more than 1,400 staff.Alliance has world leading operational performance, a key attribute sought by its customers.
