We are looking for a Safety & Quality Lead to join our fast-growing organisation.What we’re looking for:The Safety & Quality Lead (AOC) must ensure they actively comply with company safety and security standards and documented company procedures at all times. Your flight operations experience will assist both the Quality and Safety teams to fulfil their requirements in both these areas by providing technical background and ideas to meet both our compliance and quality obligations, as well as contribute to continuous improvement in both Departments. Whilst the focus of this role will be primarily in the Flight operations area you will also participate in the wider AOC compliance space as required by the Quality and Safety Department.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Safety & Quality Lead (AOC) is responsible for but not limited to:Act as Flight Operations Interpreter for all aspects of the SMS where required. This includes, but is not limited to, FDAP, LOSA, FRMS, safety incidents and investigations. To provide recommendations to the Quality & Safety team and Flight Operations team after analysis of FDAP dataTo develop (in conjunction with the Quality Systems Manager, GM Flight Operations & Flight Standards Manager) and conduct a Quality program to oversight the Flight Operations Department including, but not limited to, Part 142 and 141 requirements, as well internal audits for compliance with AOC requirements.Provide recommendations, based on Quality findings, to the Flight Standards Manager in relation to Part 142 training outcomes.Assist the Flight Operations Department with the analysis of data collected during the recurrent training programs and other feedback mechanisms.Participate in the ongoing maintenance of the HFNTS programParticipate when required in wider AOC quality and safety audits and investigations.Play an active role in review and development of corrective action for safety related reports received through the safety reporting system. (eSMS)Liaises with and forward relevant Safety Investigation reports to the Flight Operations department managers as required for effective implementation and communication of recommendation (SME - Subject Matter Expert).Participate in the monthly Aircraft Data Monitoring and report the standard of operation to the FDAP Committee.Attend monthly Flight Operation Safety Action Group and Flight Data Analysis Program meetingsSafety & Security CompliancePromote and maintain a high standard of quality, safety and security compliance as required by the Alliance Airlines Company Safety Manual by all subordinate staff.Promote safety & security reporting within the eSMS by all staff.Ensure a high standard of OH&S and environmental compliance in accordance with state law.To Be SuccessfulHold an ATPLLead Auditor Certificate (Preferred) or equivalentCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)Sound knowledge of safety and quality management principles and practicesSound knowledge and understanding of HFNTSGood written and verbal communication skillsGood analytical skillsGood Computer skills and knowledge (MS WORD, Excel, PowerPoint,)Maintains an objective non bias view point in all situations;Remains impartial when making findings;Protects the integrity of the position and safety system;Demonstrate a willingness to work as a team member and to lead by example.About UsAlliance Airlines is an ASX listed company and is Australasia’s leading provider of contract, charter and allied aviation and maintenance services currently employing in excess of over 1000 full time staff.
