Alliance Airlines Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance facilityis currently looking for a Production Planner to join our growing team.

Our Production Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling all maintenance activities to ensure the efficient use of resources and timely completion of aircraft maintenance tasks. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including maintenance, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational procedures.
We are looking for someone with the following experience:
Maintenance Planning:
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for all aircraft undergoing maintenance, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and operational priorities.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and other relevant departments to plan and allocate resources, including manpower, tools, and materials.
- Monitor maintenance progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate unexpected issues or changes in priorities.
Work Order Management:
- Create, issue, and track work orders for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that all work orders are properly documented, including details of tasks performed, parts used, and any issues encountered.
- Coordinate the closure of work orders and ensure that all necessary paperwork and records are completed accurately.
Resource Coordination:
- Liaise with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to address shortages or urgent requirements.
- Work closely with the human resources department to ensure that maintenance staff are appropriately allocated to tasks based on their skills and qualifications.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are planned and executed in accordance with regulatory requirements, including those set by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for Part 145 operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, schedules, and resources, ensuring that all documentation is readily available for audits and inspections.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyse maintenance performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement best practices in maintenance planning and scheduling to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of more efficient maintenance processes.
Communication and Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to the Maintenance Manager and other stakeholders on maintenance progress, potential delays, and resource availability.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics such as turnaround time, resource utilization, and compliance with schedules.
- Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance planning inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in production planning, maintenance management, or aviation safety are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production planning or scheduling role, preferably within a Part 145 aircraft maintenance organization.
- Experience with maintenance planning software and tools.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in planning and documentation.

About Alliance Airlines
Our Alliance Airlines Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance facility is a $60M brand new, 3 bay Base Maintenance facility located at Rockhampton airport.
The facility has been established to provide Base Maintenance services to Alliance Airlines fleet of E190 and F70/100 aircraft.
Located in Central Queensland, Rockhampton offers all your cosmopolitan conveniences in a contemporary riverside setting and is 35 minutes from the beaches of Yeppoon.
Alliance is unique in that it owns its whole fleet. Currently that fleet consists of 37 Fokker 70/100 aircraft, 31 Embraer E190 aircraft with firm purchase commitments stretching to mid-2026 for a further 26 E190 aircraft. The Company dry leases 3 E190 aircraft to a third party with those leases having just been extended for a further five years.
Alliance is locally owned with the majority of the Company's shareholders located in Australia and New Zealand.
