Come and join us as a Product Development Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the Procurement and Part Sales team at Alliance Airlines. About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual looking to build on their relevant skills and experience as a Product Development Engineer. Managing and sustaining aircraft components, products, and maintenance & repair processes (CPMRP) in support of the Alliance fleet, within the required standards of safety, and reliability. Key Functions of the role:Development of effective solutions for CPMRP items effecting fleet reliability and/or safety.Development of effective solutions for CPMRP items subject to escalating and unsustainable costProvide technical support to the Base Maintenance staff in relation to CPMRP items affecting the performance of maintenance or modification tasks.Provide technical support to the Technical Support Manager in relation to CPMRP items related to defect tasks.Develop and implement alternate parts supply options through local fabrication, PC and APMA.Maintain regulatory oversight for all alternate parts supply options once developed.Manage suppliers and vendor relationships to develop capabilities and sustainable solutions for CPMR items. Support workshop capability to be a viable commercial activity to support the Australian aviation networkComplete technical assessments and recommendations relating to the introduction of new maintenance or modification activitiesLiaise with the Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) for approval of aircraft modification and component manufacture To Be SuccessfulYou will have a strong interest in procurement with the willingness to increase your knowledge and passion within a high functioning team.In addition, you will need to have experience and/or possess the following: QualificationsBusiness or relevant discipline (desirable)Aircraft maintenance (preferably mechanical)KnowledgeUnderstanding of CASR 21/42/145 regulations within a maintenance organisationExtensive aircraft maintenance knowledgeExperience or training in Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental RegulationsSkillsDemonstrate a willingness to work as a team member and to lead by exampleExcellent written and oral communication Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team focussed environmentStrong analytical and reasoning skillsStrong compliance ethicExperienceDetailed experience in an aviation environment.Experience in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience with aircraft types under maintenanceExperience at interaction with CASA and 3rd Party organisations regarding aviation auditing and/or quality controlAlliance AirlinesAlliance is Australasia’s leading provider of contract, charter and allied aviation and maintenance services currently employing more than 1,400 staff.Alliance has world leading operational performance, a key attribute sought by its customers.
