What's the role on offer?

Based onsite in our Head Office near Brisbane Airport, this is a new and exciting role working alongside our Repair and Parts Sales Manager within our Procurement Team. As the Procurement Controller - Repairs, you will be responsible for conducting effective logistical analysis and coordination of Repairable material in support of the entire Alliance Airlines network of Line, Base and Workshop Maintenance environments activities. Some of your duties include but not limited to:

• Execute general procurement duties, including forecasting, analysis, and review, to maintain optimal inventory levels and material efficiency.
• Partner with the Repair Manager and Head of Department on high-stakes, time-sensitive aircraft component projects, while managing airframe teardowns and identifying part sale opportunities.
• Interrogate systems, manipulate data output, and resolve repairable material issues, escalating to senior management when necessary.
• Provide timely, accurate procurement data and documentation, using reporting tools to measure performance and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Develop strong relationships with management, suppliers, and stay updated on industry trends, while assisting in document development and continuous improvement.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, support audits and staff development, and adapt to shift and location changes as needed.

Who we are looking for:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the aviation or relevant industry (Pharmacy/Dangerous Goods) and experience in inventory computer programmes. You will be excited for new challenges and open to embracing the growth of our Airline. Ideally you would be familiar with procurement and supplier management disciplines, as well as a familiarity to the operational objectives and pressure points of an aviation business. Your skills will consist of:

• Qualifications in Procurement and contracting.
• Ability to develop and implement processes, apply logic to data compilation, and use strong analytical and reasoning skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication, advanced computer skills, and great numeracy.
• Demonstrated capability to work autonomously as well as in a team-focused environment, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and organise work.
• Proactive approach with a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks and maintain accuracy while adhering to work instructions.
