An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Program Engineer - Airframe is available at our Alliance Airlines Hangar in Brisbane. You will be a motivated self-starter who thrives working in a dynamic environment.
Providing technical assistance to ensure regulatory compliance of the Alliance Airlines fleet in regards to Alliance maintenance programs, aircraft and component modifications and associated documentation.
What we’re looking for
The Maintenance Program Engineer - Airframe is responsible for but not limited to:
Compliance
- Ensure continual compliance of the aircraft maintenance programs, reliability program and ancillary functions
- Manage the control and completion of all assigned SMS actions and Findings in a timely manner.
- Encourage safety reporting within the SMS by all staff
Operations
- Assessment of applicable AD’s and SB’s and recommendations for inclusion in the AMP
- Preparation of work scope for maintenance assessments required to provide compliance with ADs, SBs or Alliance requirements, inclusive of spares / resource requirements and associated costs
- Provision of technical guidance on suitable alternate parts manufacturer’s or other approved data
- Assistance in alternate tool approval process
- Preparation and submission of cost based reports for proposed / required modifications
- Development of modifications in conjunction with approved external design organisations and AMO’s, and incorporation of these modifications in the Alliance AMP
- Evaluation of defects in conjunction with the Reliability team for revision to maintenance requirements.
- Provision of major assembly assessment as required.
- Technical assessment of A/C manufacturer and vendor documentation for implications to the AMP and implementation on agreed changes
- Support of Management in planning for and executing safe operations.
- Compliance with safety laws and regulations.
- Awareness of Company Safety and Security Policy & Procedures and actions in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards.
- Provision of ad hoc technical support to Alliance Engineering
Safety & Security Compliance
- Promote and maintain a high standard of quality, safety and security compliance as required by the Alliance Airlines Corporate Safety Manual by all subordinate staff.
- Promote safety & security reporting within SMS by all staff.
- Ensure a high standard of OH&S and environmental compliance in accordance with state law.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Hold, or have held, an aircraft engineer licence in category B1, B2 or C; or
- Hold, or have held, a licence that is equivalent to a licence in category B1, B2 or C; or
- Have a qualification in aircraft maintenance at least at Certificate IV level; or
- Have an engineering qualification at least at diploma level in any of the following disciplines:
- Aeronautical;
- Avionics;
- Mechanical;
- Electrical;
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the CAMO’s exposition
- Comprehensive knowledge of A/C and systems relevant to their field of expertise
Skills:
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team focussed environment
- Well developed computing skills, particularly Microsoft office suite of programs
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Ability to analyse and develop technical documentation
- Ability to evaluate defects to establish cause and preventions
- Attention to detail
To be successful in the role ideally you will have:
- Successful completion of secondary education
- Aviation maintenance qualification (desired)
- Previous Maintenance Planning experience (desired)
- Experience in the aviation industry (desired)
