Join our dynamic team as the Flight Operations Safety & Quality Lead at Alliance Airlines, where you’ll play a key role in driving safety excellence within our Flight Operations Department. You’ll ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of our Safety Management System within the Flight Operations Department. Reporting to the Manager Flight Operations Safety, you’ll work closely with the Flight Operations Management team and the Safety Department, providing essential support and positive engagement on safety and compliance policies. In this role, you may also be delegated to fulfil the Part 142 Quality Manager responsibilities, as outlined in CASA regulations and the Alliance Airlines Part 142 Exposition.Monitor and validate Flight and Cabin operations safety reports in the eSMS, ensuring timely follow-up on corrective actions.Identify and analyse trends in safety report data for presentation to the Flight Operations Management team.Conduct and complete investigations on safety, quality, and compliance events, adhering to departmental timeframes and standards.Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during investigations, providing technical input for effective outcomes.Manage the Flight Data Analysis Program when appointed as Flight Data Program Manager by GMFO.Conduct Flight Operations Audits and ensure the audit schedule is completed on time.Act as Alternate Quality Manager for the Alliance Airlines CASR Part 142 Certificate when appointed.Liaise with external agencies (CASA, ATSB) and internal teams to maintain high standards of safety, security, and compliance across the department.Who are we looking for?Our ideal candidate will have experience in aviation or within a similar role, you'll have completed a Lead Auditor Certification or a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and possess the below: Hold or have held an ATPL Licence with relevant operational experience and an aircraft type rating operated by Alliance Airlines (or equivalent).Desirable: Investigation certification and experience with FDAP analysis.Strong knowledge of safety and quality management principles, with a solid understanding of HFNTS.Excellent communication, analytical, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to maintain an impartial, objective viewpoint in all situations, ensuring integrity in safety decisions.Experience with auditing, and familiarity with Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations is a plus.A team player with leadership qualities, committed to upholding the safety system and leading by example.What's in it for me?Novated Leasing for Employees – This enables you to bundle all your car running costs into one regular ongoing tax effective payment!
