Through applying this, we have been able to achieve success and are looking for a Workforce Planning Officer to join our highly productive team.About the roleAs a Workforce Planner Officer your role requires you to co-ordinate of all aspects of flight crew and/or cabin crew roster production whilst balancing crew satisfaction, fairness, productivity targets and operational robustness. You will also be involved in planning crew training in accordance with regulatory and company policy and procedures.Reporting to the Resource Planning Manager, you will ensure rosters are published on time and compliant with all industrial, regulatory & company policies. In addition, you are required to manage the annual leave management system for all crew members ensuring leave acquittal is managed. Key ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will be as follows, but not limited to: -Working closely with the Schedule and Analytical team to determine crew movements and training requirementsPrepare and plan roster pre-assignments including, but not limited to, leave, non-operational duties and other requestsDevelop and roster training footprints for new crew membersRecover crew members loss of training during a published roster period.Liaise with internal Stakeholders on requirements for the roster period (e.g. discuss impacts of requests)Optimise rosters to ensure a balance of roster request satisfaction, fairness, productivity targets, cost control, fatigue management and operational robustnessMaintain crew records within the Crew Management SystemCoordination of crew pairings within the Crew Management SystemCreation of standby duties to align against the flight scheduleConstruction of crew rosters taking into account all regulatory, company and FRMS requirementsPublication of crew rosters within the assigned deadlinesManaging crew member’s annual leaveProcess all ad-hoc leave requests with the view of maintaining adequate resource levels across the networkAssign left over leave based on leave preferencesPerform all tasks within the boundaries outlined in the departmental checklists and proceduresBooking of crew accommodation and deadhead travel for each roster period, in accordance with crew travel policiesAssist crew training planners where requiredAdministrative functions and other duties as required. Experience and knowledge:High level of competency with PC/Software packages including (but not limited to) Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel). Experience in Airline Operations and Crew Management Systems highly beneficial.Proven track record within a high-pressure operational environmentExperience in the understanding of Airline Operations and applicable Civil Aviation Orders and RegulationsExperience understanding crew resource management, rostering and the application of legislation and industrial agreements relating to crew membersAbility to interpret and apply industrial agreementsA clear, articulate communicator both written and verbalAbility to work under intense time pressures, often with conflicting prioritiesAbility to think clearly during high levels of network disruption, without impairing decision quality or work output Knowledge of aircrew industrial agreements (preferred)Knowledge of aircrew resource management systems (preferred).
