Alliance Airlines is actively seeking a skilled Business Analyst to become a part of our dynamic Project Team for a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you will be a key contributor within our Project Management Office, where you will play an integral part in driving projects aimed at enhancing the overall performance of our organisation. Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will collaborate with various departments to assess, analyse, and recommend improvements on our business practices and systems.The Business Analyst is responsible for but not limited to:Determining operational and business objectives by studying business functions and related system capabilities, gathering information and evaluating requirements.Constructing workflow charts and diagrams, creating user stories and developing business requirements.Validating resource requirements and developing cost estimate models.Recommending improvements that deliver efficiencies to the business through the better use of existing systems by studying current processes and designing modifications.Supporting the improvement of controls by identifying issues or risks.Instilling stakeholder confidence by maintaining confidentiality and establishing effective communications during periods of change.Assisting the Project Manager with monitoring project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions.Preparing project reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends.What makes you the right person?Business Analyst / Business Process Analyst background, or comparable professional experience - ideally within aviation operationsDemonstrated experience in investigating and documenting non-technical business requirements within complex projects or operational environmentsDemonstrated experience in leading business process and modelling activitiesAbility to facilitate open and effective communication and discussion across stakeholder groupsFamiliarity of Visio or similar process modelling softwareAlliance AirlinesAlliance is Australasia’s leading provider of contract, charter and allied aviation and maintenance services currently employing more than 1,400 staff.Alliance has world-leading operational performance, a key attribute sought by its customers.
