During 2020, Alliance Airlines experienced major growth nationally. As we continue to facilitate this expansion through to 2021, we now have a newly created position for a motivated Assistant Accountant – Inventory and Assets to join our finance team. This role plays a substantial part in ensuring smooth operational inventory and assets processes.Responsibilities include: Oversee the cyclical stock count program for the Group ensuring all stock is counted at least once a yearManage the Goods Received Not Invoiced listing to minimise outstanding itemsPrepare monthly reconciliations of the Inventory accountsPrepare Cash forecasts for Capital Expenditure linked to maintenance plansReconcile and review heavy maintenance costingsReview and monitor maintenance labour hour allocationsProvide materially accurate information to clients within agreed timeframesMaintain materially accurate sub ledgersTimely processing of sub ledger transactionsPrepare all journals required for responsible areas accurately and by the required datesEnsure compliance with appropriate legislation, codes, policies & proceduresDevelops and maintains strong working relationships with Management, staff and peers.Keeps up to date with current trends and developments associated with the aviation industry and financial mattersManage diverse requirements during the current period of growth and changeProvision of high quality and relevant information to support management decision makingDelivery of relevant and timely reportingComply with safety and security laws and other relevant regulatory requirementsComply with all company policies and procedures About YouHaving exceptional attention to detail, you possess strong analytical skills and a desire to learn, develop your career. With 2 years of accounting experience, you will haveBachelor’s Degree with an accounting related majorExperience working in an asset intensive environmentWorking towards completion of CPA or CA programWell-developed knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles and commercial practiceStrong analytical and research skills with ability to acquire sufficient technical knowledge to understand key business driversStrong communication skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of the personnel and external advisorsProblem solving skills with demonstrated ability to develop innovative and practical solutionsDemonstrated ability to work both autonomously and in a team environmentAdvanced Excel skills (testing will be conducted if successful for an interview)Flexible with ability and commitment to meet deadlines and perform well under pressureStrong initiative Why Alliance Airlines?
