We are currently recruiting for an Aircraft Painter to join our team at Unity Aviation Maintenance (UAM).About the RoleReporting directly to the UAM Wheelbay Senior Supervisor, the Aircraft Painter is responsible for safely and efficiently painting aircraft and aircraft components in accordance with the manufacturer’s AMM and CMM requirements. Aircraft Painters prepare, prime and paint aircraft exteriors, interior panels and off wing components, including but not limited to, aircraft panels, wheels, brakes and general servicing equipment. They are required to mix, blend and match paints.You will be working on Shift 2 per the UAM EBA either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday 0500 to 1430 (or possibly 0600 to 1530) for a 9.5 hour day with an unpaid 30 minute lunch break.Duties include, but are not limited to:Prepare the aircraft/components for the paint process, including washing, sanding, wet or dry media stripping, and masking.Mix and Prime the aircraft/components as per manufacturer’s instructionsMix and Paint aircraft/components per manufacturer’s instructions, as well as Toll Aviation Engineering Part 145 Maintenance Exposition procedures. These instructions may include Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Component Maintenance Manuals, Standard Procedures Manuals and Engineering Orders.Perform quality inspections after paint completionWork collaboratively with the Hangar Senior Supervisor and Wheel Bay Senior Supervisor to plan and schedule upcoming painting tasksCompleting all assigned paint booth scheduled visual inspections and filter changesAbout YouThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Painter to join a dedicated, well supported, and hard-working team.
