What’s the role on offer?
As the Procurement Manager you’ll drive best practices to enhance supply efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness while overseeing staff and continuous improvement initiatives. With potential to expand into broader procurement activities across Alliance Aviation Services Group, this role is key to optimizing operational performance and delivering exceptional service to stakeholders.
- Lead Procurement Operations – Manage procurement activities for Consumable & Expandable (C&E) parts, ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and on-time performance.
- Optimise Inventory & Sourcing – Oversee demand planning, purchasing, warranty, and quarantine processes while maintaining cost-effective inventory levels and availability.
- Coordinate Logistics & Suppliers – Act as the key contact for logistics service providers and manage part movement across internal and external networks.
- Drive Continuous Improvement – Review and enhance procurement policies, champion process development, and implement best practices for efficiency and compliance.
- Team Leadership & Development – Mentor and oversee direct reports, ensuring effective task allocation, performance management, and professional growth.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance – Uphold company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards while contributing to audits, security training, and risk management initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Procurement Manager with a can-do attitude and a passion for continuous improvement. Ideally, you’ll bring aviation procurement experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced supply chain environment. With expertise in procurement, logistics, and supplier relationships, you’ll play a key role in optimising processes, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence.
- Background in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, with aviation experience highly regarded. CIPS certification is a plus!
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, inventory management, and supplier relationships, ideally within aviation or a fast-paced industry.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams, driving performance and continuous improvement in procurement operations.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving, reasoning, and data analysis skills to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Proficient in MS Office and procurement/inventory systems, with a proactive approach to process improvement and change management.
- Knowledge of CASA regulations, WHS, and Aviation Safety Management Systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.
