What’s the role on offer?
Reporting to the CIO within the Project Management Office, the Principal Business Analyst leads the enterprise business analysis capability across Alliance Airlines. This is a highly influential role partnering with executive stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into structured initiatives, high‑quality solutions, and measurable business outcomes. You will operate across complex, enterprise‑wide programs, providing governance, insight, and assurance from concept through to delivery and benefits realisation. In addition, you will uplift organisational maturity by establishing best‑practice frameworks, mentoring Business Analysts, and embedding consistent analysis standards across the PMO.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a senior, strategic Business Analysis leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys partnering with executives to drive meaningful change. You will bring:
- Proven experience leading enterprise‑level business analysis across large, complex initiatives
- Strong capability in translating strategy into executable initiatives and measurable outcomes
- Demonstrated success developing business cases, value models, and investment justifications
- Experience defining and governing enterprise‑wide BA standards, frameworks, and artefacts
- Advanced data analysis and insights capability to support executive decision‑making
- Strong background in business process analysis, optimisation, and process modelling
- Confidence engaging with Executive Leadership Team members and senior stakeholders
- Experience mentoring Business Analysts and uplifting organisational capability
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives and portfolios
What you will need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline
- Relevant Business Analysis certification (CBAP, PMI‑PBA or equivalent – desirable)
- 8–10+ years’ experience in business analysis within complex enterprise environments
- Strong experience across Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting (Power BI, SQL, Excel)
- Experience working in regulated, operationally complex environments (aviation desirable)
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Ability to operate effectively across both strategic and delivery contexts
